REPLICA APPROPRIATION

The reinterpretation of an author’s work was an assignment during the first year of my master in Contextual design at DAE.

Starting from the observation and study of a well known designer's work, in my case Thomas Thwaites Thoster project I created a series of three hair dryers.

The first - wind blowing metal mesh hairdryer

than, a candle-powered hairdryer

and the last one was originally a toaster than, disassembled and reconstruct as a functional electric hair dryer.Easy!
