PRECIPITATION

Moved by the desire to create something underwater, I explored the different rules, physics and possibilities that belongs to the fluid. ‘Precipitation’ is the creation of some Calcium Carbonate structures underwater.

Inspired by the Catalan architect Antonio Gaudí, I applied, in water, the same static principle for which the architect built his models.

Due to Archimede’s Principle was possible to create floating structures that I subsequently hardened with the precipitation of Calcium Carbonate.

Their conformation and final shape is therefore unpredictable and left to the nature while the functionality and the strength is ensured by the design process.
